Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

A very close end to the season with only 1 point in it! The "Champ" column shows the players that correctly predicted that Lewis Hamilton would be crowned champion thus gaining an extra bonus 50 points!
As this was the conclusion of the season there some extra stats below. Including each individual driver points total (excluding the championship winning bonus 50 points for Lewis), Constructor's points totals and the best possible pick for the season including best track choice.

Malaysian Race Results

Sorry for the delay again this week, I've been out of the country but now I'm back, here are last weeks results.

I've added a season results table to the right-side of the bottom picture. This is so you can keep track of your actual overall position. The ticks here show whether the player has already used their double points.

P.S Well done D. Ward on scoring a maximum possible point tally!

Australia Race Results

The first results are in! Sorry for the delay in the first set as I was still inputting player choices. Next race should be much quicker.
Each week I'll post the Driver and Constructor points tallies along with the best possible pick for that week. Also, and most importantly, the player results.
The colour bands represent the groups the drivers were in, so its easy to see whos under performing or punching above their weight.
Dark Grey - Groups A+D
Grey - Groups B+E
Light Grey - Groups C+F.
The DP coloumn in the Player Race Results table indicates whether the player has used their double points that week.

As this is the first there's obviously no point in the season standings but from next week on I'll add them in too.

Fantasy Formula 1 2015 Entry

Well it's that time of year again and the new season is about to begin. This Fantasy Formula 1 blog has been setup so it's easier for you to keep a track of the stats and league positions. I'll aim to post the updated results of that weeks race on this blog the evening after the race.

So let's check out this years rules and point scoring scheme.

Qualifying:

Points are awarded to the drivers for qualifying. The points range from 20 points for pole position down to 1 point for the 20th driver on the grid.

1st - 20pts
2nd -19pts
...
19th - 2pts
20th - 1pt

Qualifying positions will be taken as the drivers starting grid position. This is so any penalties awarded to the drivers are factored in. 0 points are awarded to those that fail to qualify.

Race:

Points are awarded to both the drivers and teams for the final race results.

Drivers points:

These mirror the official FIA point scheme.

1st 25pts; 2nd 18pts; 3rd 15pts; 4th 12pts; 5th 10pts; 6th 8pts; 7th 6pts; 8th 4pts; 9th 2pts; 10th 1pt.

A bonus of 5 points are awarded to the driver who sets the fastest lap during the race.

Teams points:

Again the points mirror those of the FIA point scheme for driver finishing positions.

1st 25pts; 2nd 18pts; 3rd 15pts; 4th 12pts; 5th 10pts; 6th 8pts; 7th 6pts; 8th 4pts; 9th 2pts; 10th 1pt.

A bonus of 10 points are awarded to every car that finishes the race.

Bonus points:

Double points will be awarded for your 2 selected tracks.

50 points will be awarded if you correctly predict the 2015 Formula 1 champion.

All qualifying and finishing positions will be taken from the official FIA formula 1 website, formula1.com.
If a driver is replaced for whatever reason, you will accrue the points from the replacement driver.

With the rules out of the way, lets get down to the business of picking the drivers, teams and tracks. One selection per group.

Group I is for any driver you choose to be crowned overall champion.

Entry:
All choices and forms to be completed no later than Friday 13th March 2015 and returned to Dom Ward.

Choose wisely, and check back for results.
